Privacy Policy

CeiptSavor is a receipt-filing service for small businesses, operated from Owatonna, Minnesota. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. It is written to be read, not to protect us from you.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address and business name.
- Receipt data — vendor, date, total, sales tax, category, payment method and any notes, whether extracted automatically or typed by you.
- Receipt images — the photograph or scan you upload.
- Technical logs — standard server logs kept by our hosting providers for security and reliability.
We do not collect payment card details. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.
How your data is stored and protected
- All traffic is encrypted in transit using TLS.
- Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256.
- Your ledger is isolated at the database level by row-level security. Another account cannot read your records even if it tried to query them directly.
- Receipt images sit in a private store. They have no public address, and viewing one generates a link that expires after two minutes.
- Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider. We never see or store your password.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of providers to run the service:
- Supabase — database, authentication and file storage (United States).
- Netlify — website hosting.
- Anthropic — reads your receipt image to extract the details. Images are sent for processing and are not used to train their models.
- Resend — sends account emails such as confirmations and password resets.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train any model.
How long we keep it
Your receipts stay in your account until you delete them or close your account. Because tax records generally need to be retained for at least three years, we do not automatically delete anything.
When you delete a receipt, both the record and its image are removed. When you close your account, all associated data is deleted within 30 days.
Your rights
- Export — download your full ledger as a CSV at any time, from within the app.
- Correct — edit or delete any receipt yourself.
- Delete — ask us to close your account and erase your data.
- Access — ask what we hold about you.

A note on accuracy. Receipt details are extracted automatically and shown to you for confirmation before filing. You are responsible for checking them. Categories are a starting point for your bookkeeping, not tax advice.
Children
CeiptSavor is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will email account holders before it takes effect.
